Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed the upper-secondary diploma (BacII) examination for academic year 2025-2026, obtaining grade A, B, or C
Must not be a student currently enrolled, or previously enrolled, at the American University of Phnom Penh
Must have genuine commitment and resources to continue their studies and to study diligently
Must comply with all guidelines and internal regulations set out by the Scholarship Committee for Poor Students of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Kittipritbandit, and by the American University of Phnom Penh
Application Requirements
A 4x6 cm photo with a white or blue background (as a .JPG file)
Khmer national ID card, or a copy of the birth certificate (as a .PDF file)
Family book or residence book (as a .PDF file)
A provisional certificate confirming a pass in the upper-secondary diploma exam, officially certified, or the official ranked list of candidates who passed the upper-secondary diploma exam (as a .PDF file)
(If applicable) A valid document proving English proficiency: Academic IELTS 6.0 or above, iBT TOEFL 79 or above, or Duolingo 110 (as a .PDF file)
Application Process
Online application
Participants must complete online form, and submit all required documents
Examination for stage one:
Candidates must complete a sit in examination of the following subjects: - Mathematics (in Khmer); Duration: 1 hour - Physics (in Khmer); Duration: 1 hour.
Examination for stage 2:
- English; Duration: 3 hours. (Note: Only candidates who pass Stage 1 will be permitted to proceed to Stage 2.)
Finalist
Successful candidates will be notify of results shortly after. And expect it to start with the new intake on the 19th Oct, 2026.
