The Istanbul Youth Summit (IYS) is an international social project competition dedicated to empowering youth to become active contributors in building a sustainable future.

At the heart of the summit is the International Social Project Competition, where participants work in multicultural teams to design and present impactful solutions addressing global issues.

Projects are connected to selected Sustainable Development Goals, including: SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being SDG 4: Quality Education SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities SDG 13: Climate Action SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions Through collaboration, mentorship, and international exposure, participants strengthen essential leadership skills such as critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and cross-cultural understanding.

• Aged between 15 and 40 years old
• Open to all nationalities and academic backgrounds
• Have never been convicted of any criminal offense
• Not affiliated with any extremist or violent group
