🎉 YSEALI Academic Fellows Program is BACK!

Big news for young leaders in Southeast Asia — the YSEALI Academic Fellows Program (YSEALI AFP) is returning, and applications are open!

**Program at a glance: ** A fully funded, five-week U.S. academic exchange for young Southeast Asian leaders. Funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Mansfield Center at the University of Montana, the program builds leadership skills, strengthens U.S.–Southeast Asia ties, and connects fellows across a regional network. Participants study at one of eight U.S. host institutions, choosing from four YSEALI themes, and take part in academic residency, community service, field experiences, and a closing workshop.

📅 Program Period:

• Spring 2027: April 1 – May 5, 2027
• Fall 2027: September 16 – October 20, 2027

✅ Eligibility

• Citizens of Southeast Asian countries
• Aged 18–25
• Currently an undergraduate student, or a recent graduate
• Interested in leadership development and regional/U.S. collaboration
• Willing to commit to a fully funded 5-week exchange plus post-program Reciprocal Exchange activities
